About the ASCAP Aspire Internship Program
The ASCAP Aspire Internship Program is a paid summer internship program designed to provide undergraduate students with unique, hands-on experiences in the music and entertainment industry. Aspire interns join the team as active contributors while gaining exposure to ASCAP’s business and operations.
Aspire Interns departmental placements will be based on interests, skills, and experience, as well as ASCAP’s business needs. Opportunities include Membership, Marketing & Communications, Human Resources, and Strategy & Business Development. Departments are subject to change. In addition to day-to-day work, Aspire Interns participate in broader, cohort-based program experience that emphasize learning, collaboration and career exploration.
As an Aspire Intern, you will have an opportunity to:
• Build transferable professional skills in a collaborative and supportive work environment;
• Explore career interests and establish connections within the entertainment industry;
• Participate in professional development programming in order to establish connections with leaders in the entertainment industry;
• Connect with a cohort of fellow interns through collaborative, shared learning opportunities
• Work with an amazing team to help you grow your resume and skillset; and
• Access ASCAP employee events, online learning tools, and other internal resources.
Requirements
An ASCAP Aspire intern must:
• Be a rising sophomore, junior, senior undergraduate student (18 years or older) or a Spring 2026 graduate of an accredited college or university;
• Be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA);
• Demonstrate an interest in media, technology or entertainment;
• Be available to work full-time (5 days per week, 35 hours) for 9 weeks starting in June;
• Be able to work in-person at ASCAP’s New York office location at least 3 days per week; and
• Be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
While not required, strong candidates may also demonstrate:
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides);
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; and
• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn new skills.
