Body Movements Festival - Head of Marketing

Full time

Onsite • London, UK

£35,000-£47,500 per annum + bonus structure to be agreed. Salary is dependent on experience.

We are looking for an accomplished promoter/marketer to lead event promotion and direction across Body Movements Festival & connected projects. 

You will be responsible for spearheading promotions across the entire Body Movements project, with a strong focus on growth in London and beyond. Alongside this, you will oversee all our brand communications, from storytelling to content creation. A detailed understanding of the nuances of event promotion is key, and you will come armed with tried and tested processes for on-sale coordination, campaign management, reporting, and budgeting. 

This role is very ticket sales-focused as we have to survive in a very difficult market. You will be responsible for managing ticketing platforms and analysing performance data to optimise sales. A strong promoter background is vital. Please tell us about your experience in this in your cover letter.

Knowledge and skills in social media ads setup and management would be a major plus. If you have experience running campaigns, please outline them.

Content creation will be a key part of your role, including organising shoots, briefing external creatives, and maintaining a consistent brand presence across digital and print assets.

You’ll also lead our digital marketing efforts, managing social media channels and working with external agencies to deliver paid media campaigns that drive engagement and conversions.

The right applicant will be competent & interested in growing communities both online via socials and in private networks such as WhatsApp.

You will lead a group of external agencies & freelancers, with opportunities to add to the department with your own hires as the festival grows.

Most importantly, you will be excited about the demands that an industry such as ours brings, with an expectation that you may work some irregular hours and weekends for the festival and any future live shows. 

To succeed in this role, you should have at least two to three years’ experience in nightlife, live music, festivals, or a similar entertainment setting, with a proven ability to deliver ticket sales and grow online engagement. You’ll need excellent project management skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, Meta Business Manager, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics. 

This is a position which will very quickly involve you in strategic decisions with senior management, allowing you to have an influence on the future direction of Body Movements at a time when we have ambitions to grow into new areas and opportunities.

Responsibility:

Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:****

Campaign planning****

● Working alongside directors to plan campaigns well ahead of launch dates

● Auditing and tendering all promotional suppliers to best suit the chosen strategy and Budget

● Presenting final strategy to directors annually

Financial planning and management****

● Setting of annual marketing budget alongside directors

● Management and reporting of spend

● Authorisation of payments and cost attribution against your budget

● Layout of ticketing projections + targets

● Reporting on weekly sales + tracking against targets


Supplier and partner management****

● Briefing of all creative assets required for campaign + oversight of their development

● Tight management of all marketing partners and suppliers

● Ensuring all media partnerships are fully utilised

Audience connection and community building****

● Use our existing and new channels to connect on deeper levels with our audience

● Tell stories that encourage engagement and demonstrate our brand values beyond selling tickets

● Engaging with other media channels/personalities to create content that grows our Audience

● Activating an in-depth plan for the live dates of the festival, which captures audience and builds FOMO sales for the following campaign

● Lead on customer comunicatons to email and social inboxes


Ticket sales****

● Leading a weekly status call with all key promotional partners and suppliers

● Activating a reactive strategy that first and foremost guarantees a sell-out event

● Regular analysis of the strategy, making changes where necessary

● Management of distribution of content across all sales media channels

● Liaising with our ticketing outlets to coordinate launches and set up ticketing correctly


Content management****

● Clear plan as part of the annual strategy to develop and distribute content which promotes the festivals and the brands

● Creative vision which further develops a unique look and feel for both events

● Developing an engaging tone of voice which feels personal and not generic

● Coordination of ‘on the day’ content teams with detailed planning around content that is to be captured to feed into the following campaign

● Writing and distributing all mailers

● Curating and posting to all media channels

● Brand storytelling

● Ideating ways the brand can build its voice beyond selling tickets

● Leading initiatives that develop the brands profile while maintaining a strong brand aesthetic with art direction across all media touchpoints****

Location:

Head Office in Haggerston. You will be expected to spend 4 days a week in the office.
