ROLE
We’re looking for a sharp, highly motivated A&R Manager to join our growing team in Los Angeles. This person should have a strong instinct for talent discovery, great taste across genres, and a real passion for artist development. You’ll play an essential role in identifying emerging voices, setting up sessions, and helping artists shape and execute their creative vision from demo to master. This is a hands-on role that requires deep involvement in both the early research phase and the creative development process. You’ll work closely with artists, producers, writers, managers, and partners across the industry, helping to bring great music to life and push it out into the world with clarity and care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct ongoing A&R research and scouting across social platforms, DSPs, charts, and word-of-mouth scenes.
• Build and maintain relationships with emerging talent, songwriters, producers, managers, and other industry connectors.
• Identify potential signings and present them with thoughtful creative and commercial context.
• Help shape the creative direction of signed artists, from early development to release-ready records.
• Set up co-writing and production sessions; build out session calendars and creative schedules.
• Attend sessions and provide creative feedback to artists and collaborators.
• Work with management and marketing teams to align music with overall artist vision and rollout strategy.
• Track and catalog unreleased music, session data, and metadata.
• Stay plugged in to trends across genres, regions, and culture to help inform signings and creative direction.
• Handle logistical aspects of sessions including studio booking, clearances, splits, and follow-up deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 2-4 years of A&R experience at a label, publisher, or management company.
• Strong ear for songs and ability to identify early-stage talent with long-term potential.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
• Taste-driven with strong creative instincts in both music and visuals.
• A wide-ranging understanding of current music, culture, and where it’s going.
• Relationships with writers, producers, and other A&R professionals is a strong plus.
• Detail-oriented with great follow-through and organizational skills.
• Comfortable in studio settings and able to give thoughtful, artist-first feedback.
