OVERVIEW
The **Artist Merchandise Specialist **is responsible for the planning and execution of apparel and merchandise across artists, tours, drops, pop-ups, and online stores. This role blends creative judgment with commercial thinking, contributing to decisions around what products to release, in what quantities, and at what price, while coordinating execution with creative and production partners.
This role is best suited for someone with strong taste, an interest in culture and trends, and a desire to learn how merchandise functions as a business. You understand what fans want to wear, what performs in live environments, and how creative decisions connect to revenue, while working closely with senior team members to bring ideas to life.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Merch Planning & Execution
• Help lead merchandise across artists, tours, online stores, drops, and pop-ups
• Work with the team to figure out what products make sense, how much to produce, and how to price them
• Bring ideas and creative input informed by trends in music, fashion, and culture
• Help plan merch moments around releases, tours, festivals, and major campaigns
Online Stores & Fan Experience
• Manage artist merch stores including product uploads, organization, launches, and general upkeep
• Coordinate store updates around drops, tours, and special moments
• Help ensure the online store experience feels aligned with the artist and current campaigns
• Support customer service and help troubleshoot order or store-related issues when needed
• Keep an eye on how products and stores are performing over time 
Vendor & Production Coordination
• Coordinate with merch companies, printers, suppliers, and production partners
• Help keep timelines organized so products arrive on time for launches, tours, and events
• Review samples, mockups, and final products to ensure quality and consistency
• Communicate across internal teams and external partners to keep projects moving smoothly 
Inventory & Performance Tracking
• Track inventory levels and sell-through across tours, drops, and stores
• Monitor costs, pricing, and margins to support sustainable merch growth
• Create post-tour and post-drop performance summaries and documentation of learnings
• Compile insights to help inform future assortments, pricing, and release planning
QUALIFICATIONS
• 1 to 3 years of experience in merchandise, apparel, design, production, live events, or a related field
• Strong interest in artist merchandise, music culture, fashion, and live events
• Good creative instincts and awareness of trends in music, apparel, and internet culture
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple moving pieces at once
• Comfortable communicating with artists, vendors, and internal teams
• Familiarity with online merch stores, product setup, or inventory management is a plus
• Familiarity with Shopify or similar platforms is helpful but not required
• Experience with design tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus
• Proficient with Google Workspace; experience with Notion or similar tools is an asset
• Willingness to work flexible hours around tours, launches, and live events
• A passion for electronic / dance music culture is a strong asset
