At HYBE, we believe in the power of music and foster a culture built on Passion, Autonomy, and Trust.
Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile and dynamic Associate Production Manager to join our team. This position is critical to turning HYBE artists’ creative merchandise plans into high-quality, deliverable products across apparel, accessories, and collectibles. The ideal candidate brings strong cross-functional production experience, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is comfortable managing multi-round approvals and vendor communications across global timelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Sourcing & Supplier Management: Identify and secure reliable suppliers, materials, and accessories for a wide range of merchandise categories. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate terms, manage PO, and ensure quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across all partners.
• Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage production timelines across concurrent projects, aligning with merchandising strategies and artist release schedules. Coordinate materials flow, sampling rounds, and manufacturing milestones to meet deadlines.
• Sample Development & Product Realization: Lead the creation, revision, and approval of product samples across apparel, accessories, and collectibles. Facilitate feedback loops with designers, product strategists, and artist labels to ensure final products reflect creative intent, artist’s identity, technical feasibility, and customer standards.
• Quality Control & Product Compliance: Implement quality checkpoints throughout the development and manufacturing process. Monitor materials, construction, packaging, and labeling to ensure adherence to HYBE standards, customer expectations, and safety regulations.
• Cross-Functional Communication & Issue Resolution: Act as the production lead across internal teams (design, merchandising, artist labels, logistics) and external partners (suppliers, 3PLs). Maintain clear, proactive communication to resolve issues quickly and ensure smooth operations.
• Logistics, Shipping & Delivery Coordination: Manage in/outbound logistics in partnership with warehouse and freight forwarders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery for tour, pop-up, and eCommerce channels. Oversee packaging specs, shipping documents, and customs compliance where applicable.
• Inventory & Cost Management: Track production inventory and monitor delivery accuracy. Analyze product costs and margins, support pricing strategies, and manage production budgets to protect profitability.
• Market/Fandom Awareness & Product Optimization: Stay informed on market trends, competitor goods, and consumer preferences. Use insights to support product development, sourcing decisions, and assortment improvements that strengthen fan engagement and business results.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in production, sourcing, merchandising, product development, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience within fashion, music, entertainment, or fandom driven consumer products.
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom) is required.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and external partners.
• Deep understanding of k-pop fandom cultures and its impact on artist branded merchandise.
