Description
Breakaway Projects - the label arm of Breakaway Festival - is offering a hands-on internship program based in Los Angeles. This role provides real-world experience in music marketing, A&R, and digital strategy within a fast-paced independent label environment.
Interns will contribute directly to artist campaigns and development while gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of a modern dance/electronic label. This is an in-person opportunity designed for candidates who want meaningful, practical experience and a close-up look at how artist careers are built.
Location & Availability
Los Angeles only
• Must be able to work in person out of our Santa Monica office
• Consistent weekly availability required
Eligible for academic credit (must be approved through the intern’s college or university)
What We’re Looking For
• Strong passion for music, especially electronic/dance, and digital culture
• Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social platforms
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset
• Ability to identify digital trends and emerging artists early
• Creative, adaptable, and collaborative team player
• Interest in the music industry beyond a surface level (marketing, A&R, strategy)
