Medallion is the app for avid music lovers. Now with millions of fans, Medallion is rapidly becoming the destination for the most engaged music fans. At the end of 2025, Medallion FM was launched as an elevated paid experience allowing artists to release niche and rare work, directly to their fans.
We’re looking for a highly connected, execution-oriented Business Development Manager to drive artist adoption of Medallion FM (our subscription tier) as we move out of our beta.
The Role
You’ll own the pipeline for bringing artist and label partners onto Medallion FM, from initial outreach through activation.
This is a short-term independent contractor engagement:
• Anticipated duration ~6 months
• 20 hrs/week
• $6,000/month
Success in this role looks like consistently bringing artists into Medallion FM and launching subscription campaigns that generate meaningful experiences for fans and net new revenue for artists.
What You’ll Do
Drive Medallion FM Adoption
• Build and manage a pipeline focused on onboarding artists into Medallion FM
• Proactively reach out to artist teams and labels
• Secure meetings and convert conversations into live Medallion FM campaigns
Build Pitches and Campaign Materials
• Develop decks and proposals for Medallion FM
• Create tailored marketing and campaign ideas that make Medallion FM compelling for artists and labels
Launch and Activate
• Work with artist teams to structure and launch subscription campaigns
• Collaborate internally to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign execution
Who You Are
Industry Connected: You have strong relationships with artists, managers and label teams
Label Fluent: You understand how to navigate both independent and major label ecosystems
Execution-Oriented: You can independently drive outreach and close opportunities
Music-Obsessed: You understand artist strategy, fan dynamics and recorded music economics
Requirements
• Experience in business development or partnerships within music
• Existing label and artist team contacts required
• Ability to build compelling pitch materials and campaign concepts
• US or UK based, ideally in NYC or London
