Tribecast is a YouTube-native live streaming SaaS platform built specifically for the music industry. We transform music and video catalogs into 24/7 interactive live streams on YouTube — similar to FAST channels, but optimized for music communities and growth.
The company has been bootstrapped since 2020, generated $555K+ in lifetime revenue, serves paying enterprise music clients, and operates with a fully remote team. The product is proven. The next phase requires execution speed and technical leadership.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Technical Co-Founder / CTO to take full ownership of architecture, infrastructure, and product execution. This is a true co-founder role — not a contract or advisory position — with vested equity available and long-term upside.
You’ll lead the technical strategy that unlocks faster onboarding, better retention, and scalable growth for a revenue-generating SaaS platform already used by major music companies.
What You’ll Own
• End-to-end technical architecture and infrastructure decisions
• Product roadmap execution and prioritization
• Scaling and optimizing proprietary live streaming infrastructure
• Building, mentoring, and leading a small, high-quality engineering team
• Shipping core systems (billing, onboarding, automation) to reduce time-to-value
• Acting as a strategic co-founder shaping the company direction alongside the founder
Immediate Technical Priorities
• Complete frontend migration to new framework.
• Build automated billing and self-serve onboarding
• Improve deployment velocity and reduce tech debt
• Optimize streaming infrastructure for 2× efficiency
• Reduce customer onboarding from days/weeks to hours
Current Stack
Backend: Symfony 5, MySQL 8, Node.js
Frontend: Vue.js (migration in progress), legacy Symfony/jQuery
Infrastructure: DigitalOcean, Redis, Cloudflare R2, bare-metal streaming servers, CDN setup
Who We’re Looking For
Must-have:
• Proven experience scaling B2B SaaS products
• Strong background in system architecture and infrastructure
• Hands-on engineering capability (player-coach mindset)
• Experience leading small engineering teams
• Strategic thinker with long-term ownership mentality
• Comfortable with equity-first compensation
Nice-to-have:
• YouTube API or streaming experience
• Music, media, or creator-economy background
• Founder or early-stage startup experience
Deal-breakers:
• Seeking short-term cash compensation
• Looking for a passive or advisory role
• Not ready to take real ownership as a co-founder
Compensation & Structure
• Equity: 10–25% (based on experience and commitment)
• Initial compensation: Equity only
• Future cash: Introduced as MRR scales
• Location: Fully remote
• Commitment: Full-time preferred (ramp-up acceptable)
