Role Overview
We’re looking for a resourceful, self-driven Digital Marketing Intern to help develop, manage, and elevate digital strategy across our roster. You will work closely with our artists and management team to create social content, run fan & HQ-style accounts, seed narratives, and execute strategic posting schedules across platforms (primarily TikTok & Instagram).
This role is ideal for someone who loves music, understands internet culture, and thrives in a fast-paced, creative, highly collaborative environment. Most importantly, you must be comfortable interfacing directly with talent.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Social Strategy
• Operate fan/HQ-style accounts for Cool Hand artists across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms
• Create and maintain weekly posting calendars for multiple artists
• Help conceptualize & script content ideas tailored to each artist’s voice, aesthetic, and narrative
• Track trending audio, formats, memes, and cultural moments — and pitch content ideas accordingly
• Assist in editing short-form videos (TikTok/Reels), including syncing audio, adding captions, and optimizing for engagement
• Work with the manager to build out social storytelling arcs for releases, announcements, and tour moments
Artist Interaction & Communication
• Interface directly with artists to collect assets, coordinate content capture, and ensure comfort & alignment on narrative
• Draft social copy that feels authentic to each artist’s brand
• Join occasional artist sessions (virtually or in person) to brainstorm, shoot content, or document behind-the-scenes moments
Analytics & Reporting
• Track weekly performance of TikTok/IG posts and identify what’s working
• Compile insights for each artist and suggest adjustments based on data
• Monitor fan community engagement, DM trends, comments, and overall sentiment
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Traits
• Strong understanding of TikTok — trends, editing styles, formats, pacing, algorithm basics
• Creative thinker with ability to conceptualize compelling, narrative-driven content
• Entrepreneurial/self-starter energy — able to manage tasks independently and take initiative
• Comfortable interfacing directly with artists and operating with discretion & professionalism
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Basic editing skills (CapCut, InShot, Instagram/TikTok native tools)
• A passion for indie/alternative music and internet culture
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects at once
Bonus Skills
• Experience running fan accounts or artist-centric social pages
• Graphic design (Canva, Photoshop, Figma)
• Experience with community management
• Familiarity with music marketing, release cycles, or grassroots digital strategy
• Photography or video capture experience
