About Operation Fan Project
Operation Fan Project (OFP) designs and nurtures fan ecosystems for artists, brands, and projects across music and entertainment.
Our work focuses on building spaces where fans can connect, participate, and grow over time. Connection and intention guide everything we build. HQ fan accounts are a core part of how those ecosystems function.
The Role
The Director of HQ Operations leads the strategy and execution of official fan-facing digital accounts while working closely with Founder Austin Meersman to further develop and formalize OFP’s HQ offering within the broader fan ecosystem offering within OFP.
This role is both operational and foundational. You are not stepping into a fully built system. You are supporting in shape how this offering works, how it scales, and how it integrates with community spaces, campaigns, and real-world activations.
HQ accounts should do more than publish updates. They should guide fans into the ecosystem, invite ongoing participation, reinforce shared culture, and create clear pathways for deeper involvement.
What You’ll Be Working On
• Leading HQ account strategy across multiple clients
• Partnering directly with the Founder to build and refine OFP’s HQ offering
• Designing clear entry points and participation rhythms across platforms
• Translating artist goals and community needs into executable plans
• Overseeing content direction, cadence, and platform alignment
• Connecting HQ activity with Discord, community programming, and activations
• Building and documenting repeatable systems and standards
• Managing timelines and execution across accounts
• Supporting and coordinating with our team as the function grows
• Reviewing performance to understand what is working and what is not
What We’re Looking For
• Experience running official fan or community-facing accounts
• Strong understanding of fan culture and digital ecosystems
• Comfortable balancing strategy and execution
• Systems-oriented and detail-driven
• Clear communicator who enjoys building alongside a founder and startup
• Based in North America, with proximity to key music markets such as Los Angeles or New York City preferred, and availability aligned to client needs.
Why This Role Matters
HQ accounts shape how fans experience an artist day to day. When done with intention, they turn attention into participation and participation into lasting connection.
This role plays a direct part in building that momentum and shaping how OFP delivers this work long-term across fan ecosystems.
Role Structure
This role is designed to grow alongside the HQ offering itself. Scope, responsibilities, and structure will evolve as the function matures and client volume increases.
