The Jr. Talent Buyer will work directly with Larry Gold to ensure SOB's calendar is always fully booked. It is a fast-paced work environment that requires you to have your finger on the pulse of local and major talent with up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape. It is your job to cultivate relationships within the industry, to identify talent, build and negotiate offers and manage the venue calendar.
Responsibilities:
Leverage relationships with agents, managers, artists, etc. to book shows at the venue
Manage the venue's calendar
Build offers; negotiate deal points
Attend shows to scout talent
Required Qualifications:
1 – 3 years of professional experience in the music industry
Knowledge of local NYC music scene
Flexible schedule - availability day, night and weekends
General understanding of ticketing systems
Computer savvy and skilled in Google Suite
Knowledge of social media platforms as it pertains to live music
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build and cultivate relationships, in person and digitally
Experience with established contacts and relationships in the music industry preferred
