Position Overview

Slacker Media Group is hiring a Director of Marketing to lead strategy and execution across our parent company and growing portfolio of live entertainment brands. Slacker Media Group operates themed events in over 100 cities across the US & Canada & brings in over 150k attendees annually. This is a key leadership role for a strategic, creative, and data-driven marketer who can build scalable campaigns, improve sales performance, and help drive our business to even greater heights.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can think like a strategist, execute like an operator, and understand what makes people buy tickets, show up, bring friends, and come back again. This person should be equally comfortable reviewing campaign performance, building a 12-month marketing roadmap, managing influencers, improving a landing page, analyzing ticket sales, and finding new ways to grow each brand.

This is an opportunity to be an integral hire at a rapidly growing company and help shape the future of Slacker Media Group’s marketing department from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute full-scale marketing strategies for Slacker Media Group and each of its brands across paid media, organic social, email/SMS, SEO, influencer marketing, partnerships, ambassador programs, and onsite marketing.

Use data and A/B testing to improve campaign performance, ticket sales, audience growth, and key marketing KPIs.

Analyze sales trends to understand when customers buy, which markets perform best, and what channels, days, and times drive the strongest results.

Source and manage contractors, agencies, creators, influencers, and brand partners.

Rebuild and manage the company’s ambassador program while strengthening public-facing marketing, including reviews, Reddit threads, social proof, and online reputation.

Identify and implement AI tools, SEO strategies, merchandise opportunities, and business development initiatives that support company growth.

Qualifications

5-8 years of marketing experience, ideally in live events, entertainment, nightlife, music, consumer brands, or another fast-moving industry.

Experience managing marketing budgets of $100,000+/quarter

Strong experience with multi-channel marketing, performance analysis, A/B testing, influencer partnerships, SEO, and campaign execution.

Ability to manage contractors and partners while building systems, processes, and scalable marketing plans.

Creative instincts, strong analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Passion for live events, music, culture, and community-driven brands.
