THE ROLE
The Marketing Manager leads all marketing and promotional efforts to drive ticket sales, bar revenue, brand growth, and community engagement for concerts and events while managing the marketing team. This role owns campaign strategy and execution across paid media, social, email/SMS, partnerships, and on-site promotion—working closely with talent/booking, operations, and promoters to deliver strong show performance.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Campaign strategy & execution
Build and execute marketing plans for events (timelines, channels, budgets, deliverables).
Create and manage show-level marketing calendars (announcements, on-sales, boosts, final pushes).
Develop positioning and audience targeting for different genres and event types.
Paid media (Meta/Google/TikTok, etc.)
Plan, launch, and optimize paid ad campaigns (awareness → conversion).
Manage budgets, pacing, A/B tests, audiences, pixels/conversion APIs, and retargeting.
Produce weekly performance reporting with clear takeaways and next steps.
Social media & content
Own venue social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (as applicable).
Direct content creation: reels, stories, posts, artist spotlights, show recaps, UGC.
Maintain brand voice and visual standards; coordinate graphics/video needs.
Respond to customer inquiries and questions via DMs
Email, SMS & CRM
Manage newsletter strategy, segmentation, and email blasts (subject line testing, CTAs).
Coordinate campaigns around announcements/on-sales and last-minute pushes.
Respond to customer inquiries and questions via email.
Partnerships, sponsorships & community
Build relationships with artist & agent marketing teams, local brands, media, colleges, and community partners.
Secure and execute cross-promotions and trade agreements (radio, print, influencers).
Support sponsorship deliverables (logo placements, posts, signage, recap metrics).
Website, listings & ticketing
Ensure event pages are accurate, optimized, and updated (copy, links, assets).
Implement and manage tracking pixels
Provide ticket counts to agents
Coordinate ticketing promos, discount codes, and on-sale communications.
Coordinate on-site signage, street team, flyering, photo/video capture.
Capture and publish recap content quickly after shows.
Support box office messaging and customer communications when needed.
Team & workflow management
Hire, manage, and mentor interns/coordinators/designers, street team (in-house or freelance).
Build SOPs, templates, and approval processes to improve speed and quality.
Coordinate with booking/talent buyer and production/ops on priorities and deadlines.
Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
5+ years experience in live events, venue or promoter marketing
Hands-on ad buying experience (Meta Ads Manager; Google Ads, TikTok).
Proven ability to drive measurable ticket sales using paid + organic channels.
Strong copywriting and creative direction skills.
Comfortable with analytics: ROAS/CPA, CTR, conversion rate, email performance.
Highly organized; thrives in a fast-moving show calendar.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to professionally present marketing concepts and strategies to artist management
Work well in a team environment
Strong Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite skills
Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and multimedia management software
Basic knowledge of website development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with ticketing platforms and promoter settlement workflows.
Photo/video editing proficiency (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, Canva, Photoshop, etc.).
CRM/email tools experience (Hive, Mailchimp,etc.)

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Ticket sales vs forecast; sell-through rate by show/genre
Cost per purchase (CPP/CPA), ROAS, conversion rate (paid + owned)
Email/SMS list growth, open/click rates, revenue per send
Social growth and engagement; content output consistency
Sponsorship/partnership value delivered
Timeliness/accuracy of show assets and on-sale execution
