Music Management and Production Intern
ABRACADABRA RECORDS x BLOND:ISH
Location: Miami, Florida preferred, Remote possible
Duration: Internship, 4 to 6 months preferred
Time: Part time, 10 to 20 hours per week
Reports to: Music Director and Creative Operations Team and BLOND:ISH
Description
Abracadabra is a global music platform and community spanning live events, a record label, and cultural experiences. Founded by BLOND:ISH, Abracadabra unites people worldwide through music rooted in positive energy, connection, and intention, creating experiences that inspire individuals to live their best lives.
The Music Production Intern supports the day to day creative and technical workflow across BLOND:ISH studio production, collaborations, A&R review, and performance prep. This is a hands on role for someone who is serious about music production, sound design, and how real records get built, finished, and organized at a professional level.
Responsibilities
Studio and production support
• Assist in Ableton Live sessions during writing, production, and finishing
• Organize session files, stems, bounces, and version systems
• Prep projects for collaborators, including stem export, clean up, and labeling
• Support vocal comping, arrangement edits, and light sound design tasks as needed
• Learn and support SUNO AI production workflows as needed
• Build and maintain robust sample and MIDI libraries, including downloading, organizing, and tagging
Music organization and catalog management
• Maintain a clean, searchable archive of demos, works in progress, and finals
• Track versions, notes, and change logs across projects
• Assist with internal demo playlisting for A and R and creative review
Creative research and A&R support
• Research reference tracks, sounds, and trends aligned with BLOND:ISH’s direction
• Identify emerging producers, vocalists, and writers for potential collaboration
• Build reference playlists and creative inspiration docs
Pre release and performance prep
• Assist with DJ set versions, extended mixes, and show edits
• Help organize music for touring, festivals, and special performances
• Support last minute music needs for shows, radio, and content
Workflow support
• Take notes in studio sessions or creative meetings when needed
• Support calendars, deadlines, and deliverables for music related work
• Coordinate assets with management and label teams when needed
Requirements
• 4-5 years experience and working knowledge of Ableton Live
• Strong production fundamentals, arrangement, and audio basics
• Extremely organized and comfortable managing large file systems
• Fast execution, coachable, and able to take direction and feedback well
• Comfortable in a fast paced creative environment
• Strong taste and passion for electronic music and global dance culture
Nice to have
• Sound design skills, synths, FX, sample manipulation
• DJ experience or familiarity with performance workflows
• Prior experience assisting an artist or producer
Compensation
Unpaid, internship credit available if needed
