Role Overview
The Product Manager (Music Team) is responsible for overseeing and driving the success of recorded music releases. Acting as the central point of accountability, you will develop release strategies, manage timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure each project is positioned for long-term growth.
This is a label-side product role — ideal for someone who understands how music, culture, and marketing come together to build artists.
Key Responsibilities
Release Strategy & Ownership
• Own the full lifecycle of assigned music projects (singles, EPs, albums)
• Develop release strategies in partnership with A&R, Artist Management, and Marketing
• Define project goals, narratives, target audiences, and success metrics
• Align creative, digital, PR, and commercial plans into a cohesive rollout
Project & Timeline Management
• Build and manage detailed release timelines and deliverables
• Coordinate with internal teams (A&R, Digital, Creative, PR, Partnerships, Sync, Touring)
• Ensure all assets are delivered on time and meet quality standards
• Lead regular project check-ins and status updates
Marketing & Campaign Execution
• Oversee marketing plans including digital, social, influencer, content, press, and experiential moments
• Partner with Digital and Influencer teams to optimize platform strategies
• Work with Creative to shape visual identity and storytelling for each release
• Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies in real time
Commercial & Distribution Strategy
• Work with DSP partners and distribution teams on pitching, playlisting, and platform initiatives
• Collaborate with sales, streaming, and analytics teams to track performance
• Analyze data and insights to inform strategy and future releases
• Support global market strategies in collaboration with international teams
Artist & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as a key point of contact for artists and their teams throughout the release process
• Present strategies, timelines, and results clearly and confidently
• Balance artist vision with commercial objectives
• Build trust through strong communication and follow-through
Qualifications & Experience
• 3–7 years of experience in music product management, label marketing, or artist marketing
• Strong understanding of traditional record label operations and release workflows
• Proven experience managing multiple releases simultaneously
• Fluency across digital platforms, DSP ecosystems, and music marketing strategies
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
• Passion for music, culture, and artist development

• Experience working across global markets
• Background in artist management, or digital marketing
• Strong data literacy and comfort working with analytics and performance metrics
• Experience working with developing and global artists
