The Role:
This internship will be focused on artist services, currently supporting 7 independent artists and growing! The right candidate must be interested in learning about the intricacies of rights and metadata management, be curious about all aspects of music business (both recorded music and publishing), and have a keen eye for detail. The intern selected for this role will work and be mentored directly by founder Natalie Jacobs.
The Tasks:
• Conducting metadata research and review
• Registering musical assets with industry entities (such as Performance Rights Organizations)
• Reviewing and summarizing artist related contracts
• Assisting with development of educational materials
• Royalty statement review and analysis
The Skills:
• Must have excellent written communication skills
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Curious and ready to ask questions
• Current enrollment in a music business program is preferred
The Details:
• This position is remote with flexible hours
• Time commitment of 8-10 hours/week
• Candidate must be eligible to receive college credit
