The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Publicist to join our fast-growing US PR team. The right candidate will be a strong writer and communicator with a proven track record of running multiple successful PR campaigns; confident in independently managing a diverse roster of brands and talent, and able to drive and achieve new business. The position is charged with developing and executing best in class PR campaigns for WMA’s music & entertainment clients, bringing in new business, helping to establish the division as a leader in the field, and excelling in all aspects of account management. The candidate will have experience and confidence in executing print, digital, TV, tastemaker radio, and podcast coverage; staffing events & red carpets, securing executive visibility, and handling content seeding and influencer activations. They will have strong and extensive contacts and regularly attend industry networking opportunities, events and gigs, and act as an ambassador for WMA to drive brand awareness and welcome exciting new clients into the department and wider agency. 
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively identifying, pursuing and securing new PR clients and opportunities
• Driving strategy and leading innovative full-service PR campaigns to position our talent and brands as industry leaders
• Engaging with media on a regular basis in person and via pitching to secure features and placements for clients
• Monitoring press coverage and creating weekly & campaign wrap reports, as well as researching and maintaining editorial calendars and media list
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with national & regional music and lifestyle outlets in all major markets
• Creating influencer campaigns for promotion and seeding
• Drafting and distributing all press releases, bios, and briefs 
• Running red carpet and event PR activations
• Working closely with clients to strategize and deliver stellar campaign results
• Proactively develop strong new business relationships across music, media and entertainment
• Collaboratively working with the global PR team and wider agency, especially as it relates to hybrid service requests
• Writing new business proposals, preparing presentations, and participating in pitch meetings to bring in new client opportunities across the department and agency
• Supporting junior team members and interns
