Full time

Remote • Los Angeles, CA, USA

Category: Artist/Label Services

About the Role
We’re looking for an Social Presence Specialist to run day-to-day engagement across an artist’s social platforms. You’ll respond to DMs, comment on viral posts, and actively participate in culture as the artist, keeping the voice consistent, authentic, and timely. This role is for someone who lives online, understands internet tone, and can build real fan relationships at scale without sounding corporate.
What You’ll Do
• Reply to DMs daily from the artist’s accounts while maintaining the artist’s voice, tone, and boundaries
• Comment on trending/viral posts in real time to keep the artist visible and culturally present
• Engage with fan content (replies, comments, story reactions, repost suggestions) to strengthen community
• Monitor mentions, tags, and replies across platforms and flag anything sensitive or high-priority
• Identify opportunities for organic moments: stitches/duets, quote tweets, comment “wins,” and timely replies
• Maintain a lightweight engagement log (what’s working, recurring fan questions, notable threads)
• Coordinate with the artist/manager on voice guidelines, do-not-engage topics, and escalation rules
• Support occasional community pushes around drops: pre-saves, tour announcements, merch, premieres, etc.
• Protect brand safety: avoid risk topics, handle trolls intelligently, and keep interactions positive
What You’re Great At
• Writing in multiple tones and mimicking a consistent voice convincingly (funny, warm, edgy, etc.)
• Extremely online: you understand meme cycles, creator culture, and platform etiquette
• Fast, high-volume communication without losing quality or authenticity
• Good judgment and discretion—you know what to reply to, what to ignore, and what to escalate
• Comfortable handling parasocial dynamics with tact and boundaries
• Organized: you can track threads, priorities, and recurring community needs
Qualifications
• 1–3+ years in social, community management, talent/creator work, or brand accounts (or equivalent experience)
• Strong writing skills and comedic timing a plus
• Deep familiarity with Instagram + TikTok (Twitter/X and YouTube comments a bonus)
• Experience working with creators/artist brands preferred
• Able to work nights/weekends occasionally (when culture is moving fast or during releases)
Success Looks Like
• Faster response times with consistent “artist voice”
• Higher comment visibility on viral posts (smart, timely, non-cringe)
• Increased fan sentiment and community warmth
• Fewer missed opportunities, fewer avoidable brand risks
• Clear escalation: the artist only sees what actually needs their eyes
Working Style / Notes
• This role requires confidentiality and mature judgment. You’ll be speaking publicly as the artist.
• Remote-friendly (time zone alignment preferred), with availability during peak social hours.
