POSITION SUMMARY
Stage Right is seeking a full-time Staff or Senior Accountant to oversee and manage day-to-day live event accounting operations for two music venues within our portfolio. This role is responsible for owning all aspects of venue-level accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced live entertainment environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements and supporting schedules, including balance sheets, income statements, and contribution margin workbooks, in accordance with month-end deadlines.
• Prepare, review, and audit event profit and loss statements in collaboration with venue operations teams following event settlement.
• Review and reconcile general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring invoices are reviewed, approved, and paid in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Process payments to artists, vendors, and contractors; maintain vendor records and oversee 1099 compliance.
• Review, reconcile, and manage corporate P-Card transactions and approvals.
• Oversee cash receipts, including box office settlements and show-related cash; manage accounts receivable and collaborate with venue teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
• Record monthly accruals, amortize prepaid expenses, and prepare adjusting and reclassification journal entries.
• Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of management and venue staff.
• Strong proficiency in accounting systems and financial software, including Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online, and Bill.com.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong business acumen and attention to detail.

• High level of integrity and commitment to professional standards.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Staff Accountant: 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Senior Accountant: 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Bill.com preferred.
• Experience in live event, venue, or entertainment accounting is a plus.
