Outback Presents, the largest independent promoter of live entertainment in North America, is expanding our Canadian marketing team! We are looking for an experienced marketing strategist who is passionate about comedy, and lives and breathes ticket sales!
The Tour Marketing Manager, Canada, is responsible for supporting the Senior Director, Tour Marketing in the strategic planning, execution and performance marketing of tours and live events across the Canadian market. They will collaborate with talent agencies, artist management teams, venues, and internal stakeholders to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales, audience growth, and tour profitability for high-profile comedians, touring acts, and live entertainment properties.
**TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES **
• Support Senior Director of Tour Marketing in developing and overseeing full-cycle marketing strategies for national tours and individual live events across Canada, from pre-production through announcement and on-sale, sustained campaigns and final push/closeout phases.
• Manage multi-channel marketing campaigns including paid digital media, social media, CRM/email marketing, PR, influencer and grassroots partnerships, venue marketing, as well as traditional media such as radio, television, out-of-home and print.
• Assist Senior Director of Tour Marketing in tracking campaign budgets, media allocations, pacing and performance optimization to maximize ROI and ticket conversion.
• Conduct and lead market analysis, audience targeting, competitive research and sales forecasting to inform strategic campaign planning.
• Liaise with talent agencies as well as artist managers and personal publicists to align campaign objectives and promotional initiatives.
• Help build strategies for third party promotion including coordinating closely with event venues (from small clubs to arenas), ticketing platforms (from the independent to the industry leaders such as Ticketmaster and AXS), media partners, and external vendors to execute localized marketing and promotional activations.
• Participate in campaign reporting and post-show analysis, delivering actionable insights on sales performance, audience behavior, media effectiveness and market opportunities at all stages of the promotional window and post-mortems;
• Participate in feedback on artistic direction for each tour and show when applicable, as well as manage creative asset development and messaging strategy to ensure cohesive branding and audience engagement across all campaign touchpoints
• Partner with our internal booking and production teams to drive marketing campaigns and maximize ticket sales for live comedy and entertainment events across all national and regional markets.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of work experience in marketing, media buying and live events.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in communications, PR, marketing or adjacent field.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet strict deadlines, while maintaining precision and accuracy.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder expectations across multiple departments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building trusting and collaborative relationships across the organization.
• Ability to work autonomously and be a team player.
• Familiarity with Apple products, Google Drive, Project Management software (ie Airtable), CRM software (ie Klavio) and Digital Platforms, a plus.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
• Location: Remote office in Canada (Toronto based, a plus)
• Must be able to legally work in Canada
• Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 9AM-6PM
