Full Time

Onsite • London, Greater London, United Kingdom

Overview:
Drive revenue growth across the Broadcast and Digtal team by playing a key role on major deal negotiations, helping set the department’s growth strategy / targets, managing strategic growth projects (e.g. new market entry), and developing a range of powerful, targeted data and analytics tools for the team to work with.
In particular, play a leading role in growing our Video Games revenue by supporting the current team with analysis and insights, as well as by being a key part of negotiation teams to close new licensing agreements.

Support the Head of B&D as required by creating / leading departmental presentations, preparing internal materials for relevant committees / ELT as needed, engaging with licensees / members on commercial and strategic opportunities & challenges.

Responsibilities:
• Work with CCO and Heads of CP on major deal negotiations – with a focus on setting the negotiation strategy, and on making sure the right business intelligence / financial analytics are in place to win those negotiations. Ensure such negotiations result in deals which align to the department’s overall growth strategy (i.e. driving growth in aggregate). Work closely with PRS Legal team and external lawyers / economists as needed. Be a key member of the negotiating team “in the room” with major licensees.
• Develop the team’s expertise in the video games space by staying up to date with market trends and available data resources, and by sharing that knowledge across the team. Utilise this knowledge to help the team reach new agreements with video game platforms, and build stronger partnerships with existing customers.
• Support the development and implementation of licensing policy for AI generated and AI assisted works – both as part of existing partnerships where AI music is used, and as part of new partnerships with AI platforms directly.
• Work with the wider Commercial Partnerships team to help set the department’s revenue growth strategy each year, and ensure they align to PRS’ corporate strategy through close liaison with ELT and Strategy team.
• Manage relationships with key members throughout negotiations and regarding key strategic issues, in particular by writing key presentation materials for Committees and working groups, by presenting on key topics at Committees when required, and by leading / facilitating working sessions with members.
• Manage strategic growth projects within the department, working with external consultancies where needed. Manage the department’s research budget.
• Own and improve the department’s data requirements – ensure all team members have access to data and tools required to support their roles and drive revenue growth (e.g. access to most up-to-date market data).
